Neurumburg

Hitlers Concert Hall

Neureumburg was the only town that we came to that still had its town wall virtually still intact.  Apparently when other towns were demolishing theirs, Neurumburg was going through economic tough times and so they didn't spend money to remove the wall.  It is a wonderful example of the old town walls with massive towers, gates and a moat.

Neurumburg is also the setting for the Nazies annual rallies, held during the 1930's. When over a million citizens would travel to Neurumburg to listen to Hitler and his tirades.  During our travels we have learnt more about Hitler and Nick our excellent guide for our land journey from Prague, through Berlin, Warsaw and Krakow, says there has been no evidence of Hitlers remains or burial, but there is evidence of his family in South America.  We have also learnt that he was refused admission into the German Army, because of his instability.
